At 805 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Elgin, Parker Canyon Lake, Fort Huachuca and Canelo. This includes the following highways... Route 82 near mile marker 46. Route 83 between mile markers 3 and 26. This includes the following streams and drainages... Slaughter House Wash, Turkey Creek, Cienega Creek, Santa Cruz River and Babocomari River.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Southeast Arizona including Graham, Greenlee, Cochise and Santa Cruz counties. * WHEN...Through Tuesday evening. The greatest risk is Monday afternoon and evening and again Tuesday afternoon and evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, dry washes, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The combination of ample moisture across southeast Arizona and an upper-level disturbance moving into the area from New Mexico today will result in widespread showers and thunderstorms... especially south and east of Tucson. These storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall, with localized rainfall amounts between 1 and 3 inches. * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...South Central Cochise County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 1100 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 940 PM MST, local law enforcement reported Davis Road from HWY 80 and HWY 191 is closed due to flooding from thunderstorms. Urban and small stream flooding is ongoing. - Davis Road is the most likely place to experience minor flooding.This includes the following streams and drainages... Whitewater Draw, Walnut Gulch and Gadwell Canyon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... McNeal. - This includes the following highways... Route 80 between mile markers 321 and 322. Route 191 between mile markers 18 and 20. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Kartchner Caverns State Park campground provides 60 well-appointed campsites in the Whetstone Mountain foothills of southeastern Arizona. The campground features 43 standard back-in sites (up to 35 feet), 12 pull-through sites (up to 60 feet), and 3 ADA-accessible sites with paved pads and wheelchair-accessible tables. Every site includes electric hookups (30-amp on back-in sites, 50-amp on pull-throughs), water via hose bib, a fire ring, and a picnic table. Modern restroom and shower facilities are located within the campground loop, with showers included in the camping fee. A dual-lane dump station with 110-foot lanes is available to registered campers. The park gate closes at 10 p.m. nightly, with check-in at 2 p.m. and checkout at noon. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights. The campground is located 9 miles south of Benson on Highway 90. Pets are welcome in outdoor areas on leash but are prohibited in buildings and cave tours. The Discovery Center offers a gift shop, and while the Bat Cave Cafe is currently closed, the park's main attraction remains the spectacular cave tours.
