Shad Landing at Pocomoke River State Park sits along the cypress-lined Pocomoke River on Maryland's Eastern Shore, offering 172 campsites spread across six distinct loops. Acorn Trail, Robin's Nest, and Water's Edge loops operate year-round, while Blue Heron, Deer Run, and Fox Den have seasonal availability from spring through fall. Electric hookups (30/50 amp) are available in Acorn Trail, Deer Run, and Robin's Nest loops; all sites include a picnic table and fire ring. The campground features centralized bathhouses with hot water showers and flush toilets, a dump station for RV waste and potable water refill, and a camp store selling firewood, ice, groceries, and souvenirs. Eight mini cabins are available for those seeking more shelter. The on-site nature center houses live animal exhibits and educational programs. Beyond camping, Shad Landing provides a full-service marina with boat ramp (no launch fee), seasonal kayak and SUP rentals (Memorial Day through Labor Day), fishing pier, two playgrounds, and over four miles of hiking trails through the Pocomoke forest. Group camping and youth group sites are also available for larger parties.
