About

Seminole State Park encompasses 1,478 acres along the Georgia shore of Lake Seminole, a 37,500-acre reservoir formed by the Jim Woodruff Dam at the confluence of the Flint and Chattahoochee Rivers. The park's 50 campsites sit near the water's edge, providing excellent views and quick access to the lake. All sites feature electric hookups (30 and 50 amp) and water connections, with a handful of full-hookup sites offering sewer. Both back-in and pull-through configurations are available. The campground recently underwent a major renovation with a brand-new comfort station featuring flush toilets, hot showers, and electrical outlets. A dump station serves RV guests. Beyond camping, the park offers 14 cottages, a sand beach, three boat ramps, a fishing dock, playground, and gift shop. Wildlife viewing is exceptional at Seminole. A nature trail winds past gopher tortoise burrows and through one of the largest longleaf pine forests in any Georgia state park. Observant visitors may spot alligators, osprey, bald eagles, and other wildlife. The lake itself is renowned for bass fishing and supports a variety of water activities.
