Closed — Closed for the season. Typically opens mid-May when snowmelt allows and closes in late October. Access may be limited during winter due to snow. Forest Road 223 gates typically close November 4.

Selway Falls Campground is a small, rustic Forest Service campground located along Meadow Creek in the remote Selway River corridor of Idaho's Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. The campground features 7 campsites and serves as an important access point for river recreation, with a boat put-in located below the dramatic Selway Falls. The campground provides access to the Wild and Scenic section of the Selway River, which features Class IV rapids from Paradise Campground to Selway Falls. This stretch attracts experienced whitewater rafters and kayakers. The surrounding area offers excellent fishing opportunities in both the Selway River and Meadow Creek. The campground can accommodate RVs less than 30 feet in length. Located approximately 44 miles from Kooskia via US Highway 12 and Forest Road 223, Selway Falls Campground offers a primitive camping experience with vault toilets but no potable water. Campers should come prepared with their own water supply and expect limited services during the operational season.

Directions

From Kooskia, travel east 24 miles on US Highway 12, then turn southeast onto Forest Road 223 and continue approximately 20 miles to the campground.
