About

Scott Lake Campground sits at high elevation on the shores of pristine Scott Lake, a photographer's paradise in Oregon's Willamette National Forest. On clear days, the snowcapped volcanic peaks of the Three Sisters cast stunning reflections on the serene lake waters. A forest of subalpine fir, mountain hemlock, and bear grass surrounds the lake, creating an alpine atmosphere. This primitive campground operates first-come, first-served with no reservations. Amenities are minimal: vault toilets and picnic tables are provided, but there is no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water. The fee is $5 per vehicle per day, with Northwest Forest Pass and interagency passes accepted. The campground is adjacent to the Benson/Tenas Trailhead with easy access to the Mt. Washington Wilderness. Be prepared for heavy mosquitoes in July and August. Dogs must remain leashed at all times. Chainsaws are prohibited within the campground.
