Open for reservations. The campground operates year-round with reservations available via ReserveCalifornia mid-March through mid-September. Outside that window, camping is first-come, first-served. Gate locks daily 10 PM to 6 AM.

About
San Onofre SB Bluffs Group Campground is part of San Onofre State Beach, located three miles south of San Clemente along the scenic Old Pacific Coast Highway corridor. The group site sits atop dramatic sandstone bluffs with panoramic ocean views and direct access to 3.5 miles of undeveloped beachfront via seven quarter-mile trails. The group site accommodates 9 to 50 people and up to 12 vehicles with a maximum length of 18 feet. Amenities include two fire pits (one ADA-accessible), a large BBQ for charcoal or wood, six picnic tables, two shade ramadas, and potable water. The campground provides cold outdoor showers and vault toilets nearby, plus an RV dump station in the general Bluffs area. The entrance gate locks from 10 PM to 6 AM, so plan arrivals accordingly. Dogs are not permitted on the beach except for service animals. Reservations are available through ReserveCalifornia from mid-March through mid-September; outside this window, sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
