About

San Clemente SB Tent Group Campground is a dedicated tent-only group site within San Clemente State Beach, perched on landscaped bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in southern Orange County. The campground can host groups of up to 50 people with parking for 10 vehicles, making it ideal for scout troops, family reunions, and outdoor clubs seeking coastal group camping. The site features fire rings, picnic tables, and access to communal restrooms with flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers. Potable water is available on-site. A 2.3-mile Beach Trail connects the campground to nearby coastal areas, though beach access requires navigating somewhat steep service roads. Dogs are allowed on the multi-use trail and parking areas when leashed, but are prohibited from the sand and water. Reservations are made through ReserveCalifornia up to six months in advance. The park operates daily from 6 AM to 10 PM. Located just off I-5 at the Avenida Calafia exit, the campground provides easy access for Southern California campers seeking an oceanside group camping experience.
