About
San Clemente State Beach has been one of Southern California's most popular coastal destinations since 1931, situated midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. The campground sits on scenic bluffs above the Pacific Ocean, offering both tent camping and RV sites with full hookups. Facilities include flush restrooms, hot showers, drinking water throughout the park, fire rings, and an RV dump station. The beach below is ideal for swimming, surfing, body surfing, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. Two accessible trails wind through the park: the Multi-Use Trail (0.24 miles) and the Butterfly Trail (0.38 miles) through a eucalyptus grove. A visitor center with historical exhibits is open Sunday through Friday. Multiple ADA-accessible campsites are available in both the tent and RV areas, and beach wheelchairs can be borrowed at the entrance kiosk.
Directions
From I-5, take the Avenida Califia exit in San Clemente. Head west on Avenida Califia to the park entrance at 225 Avenida Calafia.
