Salt Lick Creek Campground is located on Cordell Hull Lake, a 12,000-acre reservoir stretching 72 miles along the Cumberland River in Tennessee. Named after Tennessee statesman Cordell Hull, the lake and surrounding recreation areas are managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District. The campground sits about 10 miles from Gainesboro and offers 150 family campsites plus one large group shelter. All sites feature 20/50-amp electric hookups with a mix of back-in and pull-through configurations. The campground provides full facilities including flush restrooms, hot showers, drinking water, laundry facilities, and an RV dump station. A boat ramp provides direct lake access, and there's a swimming beach, playground, and visitor center on site. Limited WiFi is available near the boat ramp parking lot and Restroom #4. The lake offers excellent fishing for white bass, rockfish, largemouth bass, catfish, and crappie. Boating, sailing, water skiing, and jet skiing are popular on the water. Several hiking and mountain biking trails are nearby, including the 6-mile Bearwaller Gap Trail at Defeated Creek Park. The historic town of Granville, known for its annual Heritage Day festival and Uncle Jimmy Thompson Bluegrass Festival, is a 45-minute drive away.

Directions

From Carthage, go 4 miles west on SR-25, then north on SR-80, then east on SR-85 to Gladice. Turn right on Smith Bend Road and follow signs.
