Winds gusting as high as 90 mph along the Sierra crest and 20-35 mph for communities surrounding Lake Tahoe. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area. * WHEN...From 2 PM Saturday to 11 PM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible, especially for the Saturday evening and Sunday morning commutes. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.

RV Village Campground at historic Camp Richardson Resort provides a premier Lake Tahoe camping experience on the south shore. The campground features 98 RV sites, with 20 full hookup sites (water, electric, and sewer) and 78 water/electric sites. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire pit with cooking grate, and some sites include bear-proof food lockers for secure food storage. The resort's unrivaled location at 6,225 feet elevation offers direct access to Lake Tahoe's longest stretch of sandy beach and is surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tahoe, towering Sierra Nevada mountains, and fragrant forests. Guests enjoy walking-distance access to all resort amenities including The Beacon Bar & Grill lakeside restaurant, General Store & Deli, Ice Cream Parlor, Coffee & Confectionery, and Mountain Sports Center. Historic Camp Richardson Resort offers exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities including hiking, biking, fishing, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, and in winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Nearby attractions include Tallac Historic Site, Emerald Bay, Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach, Fallen Leaf Lake, and Mt. Tallac. The campground operates year-round and is accessible via Highway 89, three miles south of Tahoe City.
Directions
Located on California Highway 89 (Emerald Bay Road), 3 miles south of Tahoe City. From Sacramento, take U.S. Highway 50 to South Lake Tahoe and proceed north past the Y intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 89. Look for the Camp Richardson Resort sign on the right side of the highway. From North Shore via I-80, Reno, or Truckee, take Highway 89 or U.S. Highway 50 to South Shore.
