About
Badger's Den Campground provides a Lake Tahoe camping experience that combines natural beauty with resort convenience. The campground sits in a fragrant pine forest at 6,225 feet elevation on Lake Tahoe's southern shore. Historic Camp Richardson Resort surrounds the campground with amenities including a general store with deli, bar and grill, full-service marina, ice cream parlor, and mountain sports center with watercraft rentals. A paved bike path leads to sandy beach access in about 10 minutes. Recreational opportunities include biking, fishing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, paddling, and visiting the nearby Tallac Historic Site. Check-in is handled at the Eagle's Nest Campground Kiosk located across Highway 89. Reservation holders must be present at check-in with valid ID. The campground enforces a strict no-pets policy with only service animals permitted. Maximum stay is limited to 14 consecutive nights per Forest Order.
