About

Robinson State Park is a 1,025-acre public recreation area located primarily in Agawam with a small portion extending into Westfield, Massachusetts. The park stretches along five miles of the Westfield River's banks, providing excellent opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and wildlife viewing including rare dragonflies and turtles. The park features more than 20 miles of trails suitable for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing in winter. Some trails are accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. Historical Civilian Conservation Corps buildings dot the landscape, adding historical interest to the natural beauty. Visitors can walk a paved road along the river or explore wooded trails including portions of the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail. While Robinson State Park appears in camping reservation systems, it offers only day-use facilities. The Trestle Pavilion can be reserved for group events accommodating up to 50 guests at $65 per day, though guests must vacate by 7:00 PM. Restrooms and picnic areas with grills and tables are available throughout the park.
