WHERE...Moffat, Routt, Jackson, Grand, Rio Blanco, Garfield, Eagle, Summit, Gilpin, Clear Creek, Mesa, Pitkin, Lake, Park, Delta, Gunnison, Chaffee, Montrose, Ouray, San Miguel, Dolores, and northern parts of Montezuma and Saguache Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Craig, Steamboat Springs, Walden, Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Meeker, Rangely, Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Vail, Breckenridge, Central City, Georgetown, Grand Junction, Aspen, Leadville, Fairplay, Delta, Gunnison, Buena Vista, Salida, Montrose, Nucla, Ouray, Telluride, Dove Creek, and Saguache. About
Robbers Roost Campground is a small, forested campground in the Arapaho National Forest near Winter Park, Colorado. Located at 9,826 feet elevation along Highway 40 and the Fraser River, it offers 11 non-electric campsites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs up to 25 feet. The shaded forest setting provides relief from summer heat, and the Fraser River flows past the campground. Each site features a tent pad, fire grate, and picnic table, with vault toilets and trash service available. There is no potable water at the campground; the nearest water source is Idlewild Campground, 5.5 miles away. Dogs are welcome but must remain on a hand-held leash. Popular activities include hiking in the surrounding Arapaho National Forest and nearby Vasquez Peak Wilderness, scenic driving over Berthoud Pass, and wildlife viewing. The campground's proximity to Winter Park makes it a convenient base for exploring the Fraser Valley.
