Open first-come, first-served. An active Forest Order (through December 31, 2028) prohibits all campfires and stove fires in the Guanella Pass restricted area. The area is closed to public access between 10 PM and 6 AM except for campground visitors.

Locations include, but are not limited to Craig, Steamboat Springs, Walden, Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Meeker, Rangely, Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Vail, Breckenridge, Central City, Georgetown, Grand Junction, Aspen, Leadville, Fairplay, Delta, Gunnison, Buena Vista, Salida, Montrose, Nucla, Ouray, Telluride, Dove Creek, and Saguache. Consider relocating temporarily if smoke is present indoors and is making you ill. If visibility is less than 5 miles in smoke in your neighborhood, smoke has reached levels that are unhealthy.

About
Clear Lake Campground is a small, quiet campground located four miles south of Georgetown on the Guanella Pass Scenic Byway in the Arapaho National Forest. At 10,000 feet elevation, the campground provides access to alpine scenery and nearby hiking opportunities including trails to Mount Bierstadt and Silver Dollar Lake. The campground has eight sites, each equipped with a tent pad, picnic table, and fire grate. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water on-site so campers must bring their own supply. Parking spurs range from 15 to 25 feet, making the campground best suited for tents and small camper trailers rather than large RVs. Camping is first-come, first-served with no reservations available. Dogs are permitted but must remain on a hand-held leash. A Forest Order restricts overnight access in the Guanella Pass corridor to designated campgrounds only, with the area closed to general public access between 10 PM and 6 AM.

Four miles south of Georgetown on Guanella Pass Road. From I-70 westbound, exit at Georgetown and follow signs to Guanella Pass.
