About

As San Francisco's only group campground, Rob Hill offers a unique national park camping experience just minutes from the city. Nestled within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area's Presidio of San Francisco, the campground provides an ideal base for groups of all kinds, including multi-family gatherings, school field trips, and scout troops. The campground features 4 group tent sites, 2 of which are ADA accessible, each accommodating up to 30 people. Each site is equipped with picnic tables and grills, with access to indoor flush toilets. The tent-only campground does not allow RVs, pop-ups, or camper trucks. Campers have access to all the recreational opportunities the Presidio offers across its 1,491 acres, including a dozen major hiking and biking trails, eight scenic overlooks, beaches, and Mountain Lake. The campground is located just over one mile from the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center, making it an excellent base for groups wanting to explore this iconic landmark. Additional nearby attractions include Fort Point National Historic Site, Muir Woods National Monument, and Alcatraz Island within the broader Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
