About
Riffle Run Campground is situated on Burnsville Lake along the Little Kanawha River in the heart of Central West Virginia's hilly, forested region at the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. The campground provides 60 total campsites including 54 full hookup sites equipped with 50 amp electric service, water, and sewer connections, plus 6 primitive non-hookup sites for those seeking a more basic camping experience. The campground offers modern amenities without compromising the peaceful, wooded setting. A bathhouse with shower facilities and a laundry facility serve campers, while playgrounds provide entertainment for families. A boat ramp is located just before the campground entrance, and the nearby marina offers boat and jet ski rentals, seasonal tours, and food options. The geographic features of the area create breathtaking views throughout the extensive trail system. Recreation opportunities abound with over 100 miles of hiking and biking trails, fishing, hunting, water sports, and lakeside relaxation. Nearby attractions include the Riffle Run Left Fork Day Use Area, the Little Kanawha River Trail system, Burnsville City Park, and the Burnsville Veterans Memorial. The town of Burnsville offers convenience stores, a Dollar General, and the Kreamy Korner Ice Cream Shop.
