About

Bulltown Camp is one of the premier campgrounds at Burnsville Lake in central West Virginia, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. With 204 campsites spread across several loops, the campground offers a variety of options from basic electric sites to sites with water and electric hookups. Each loop features its own showerhouse, children's playground, and pavilion. Sites include a picnic table and fire ring. The campground sits at the headwaters of Burnsville Lake on the Little Kanawha River, in the hilly, forested region at the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. A boat ramp provides direct lake access, and a beach is about a mile away. The adjacent Bulltown Historic Area preserves the site of a Civil War battle, with historical reenactments held twice yearly. Recreation options include boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The Burnsville Lake Wildlife Management Area lies to the east, and two general stores are within three miles of the campground.
