About

Cedar Creek State Park Campground occupies a forested valley in Gilmer County, about 4 miles south of Glenville. The campground includes 66 regular sites and 10 group sites, all with water hookups and 30-amp electric service. Each site has a fire ring, grill, and picnic table. Three bathhouses with showers and a laundry facility are spread throughout the campground. A restored 1800s log cabin serves as the check-in station, adding historical character to the camping experience. Beyond camping, the park offers a heated outdoor swimming pool open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, a miniature golf course, and courts for tennis, basketball, and volleyball. Three small ponds stocked with trout, catfish, bass, and bluegill provide fishing opportunities, and Cedar Creek itself offers additional angling. Fourteen miles of trails wind through the wooded terrain for hiking and biking. A park store sells groceries, ice, and firewood. The campground operates seasonally from spring through fall, with reservations available online, by phone, or at the campground office. A two-night minimum applies to weekend stays. The park recommends using Route 5 through Glenville rather than Cedarville and Copen Road when hauling trailers.

Directions

From Glenville, take Route 5 south approximately 4 miles. Those hauling campers should use Route 5 through Glenville rather than the Cedarville and Copen Road route.
