About

Redwood Meadow Campground is located in the Tule Ranger District of Sequoia National Forest, within the southern portion of Giant Sequoia National Monument. Situated at 6,500 feet elevation about 50 miles east of Springville, the campground provides access to some of the area's most spectacular giant sequoia groves. The facility offers 15 family units, including both traditional campsites and yurt accommodations. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the Trail of 100 Giants, which winds through the Long Meadow Giant Sequoia Grove. Other nearby attractions include the Belknap Grove and Freeman Grove. Hiking trails in the area range from easy walks through giant sequoia groves to more challenging routes that climb mountains and follow wild rivers. The forest's elevations range from 1,000 to 12,000 feet, creating diverse landscapes with precipitous canyons and mountain streams. Campers should note that no potable water is available at this campground, so adequate water supplies must be brought in. The facility is suitable for smaller RVs up to 16 feet in length. Bears frequent the area, and all food must be kept in approved containers. The campground operates seasonally from late May through mid-October, with reservations available through Recreation.gov.
