About

Holey Meadow Campground is a remote, primitive facility situated at 6,400 feet elevation within the Giant Sequoia National Monument, part of Sequoia National Forest. The campground offers 10 tent-only sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, so visitors must bring their own supply. Bear-resistant trash receptacles are provided. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and accepts cash only. The surrounding area provides excellent opportunities for hiking and exploring giant sequoia groves. The Redwood and Long Meadow sequoia groves are a short drive away, as is the Trail of a Hundred Giants, a wheelchair-accessible nature trail showcasing some of the largest trees on Earth. This is bear country, so proper food storage and leaving no attractants unattended is essential. Access to the campground involves paved and narrow dirt roads. From Highway 99, take J22 east through California Hot Springs, turn left onto M50, then after approximately 10 miles turn left at M107. The campground entrance is about a mile after the turn. Quiet hours are observed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
