About
Moro Campground is the primary camping area within Crystal Cove State Park, situated on a mesa overlooking the Pacific Ocean between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach. The campground provides 58 family campsites divided between 28 RV and trailer sites equipped with water and electric hookups, and 30 designated low-impact sites for tents, soft-sided trailers, and van conversions. All sites offer ocean views and include picnic tables, though all sites are back-in only. The campground features modern restroom and shower facilities, drinking water, and a dump station near the entrance. Compressed gas grills and outdoor fireplaces are permitted at campsites, but wood and charcoal fires are prohibited. Six ADA-accessible campsites are available, with firm, level surfaces and accessible restroom/shower buildings throughout. Crystal Cove State Park encompasses 3.2 miles of coastline with tide pools and sandy beaches, plus over 2,400 acres of coastal canyon backcountry with hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. The adjacent Moro Canyon day-use area provides additional picnic facilities and trailhead access. The park's Historic District features restored 1930s-era beach cottages available for overnight rental.
