About

Raven Creek Campground is a small, free primitive campground located along the scenic Selway River in the Bitterroot National Forest. The campground offers just two sites, providing a secluded wilderness camping experience for those willing to make the journey along the remote Magruder Corridor. Facilities are minimal but functional. One site includes a picnic table and fire grate, while the second has an old grate and campfire ring. A small wooden outhouse serves both sites. There is no potable water, and campers must pack out all trash. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees and a 14-day stay limit. Access requires traveling the Magruder Corridor Road 468, a remote 117-mile route with no services. Visitors should bring a reliable high-clearance vehicle, full tank of gas, spare tire, drinking water, a saw for removing downed trees, and fire suppression equipment. The road typically opens in early to mid-July after snowmelt and closes in late October with the first significant snow.
