About

Ranger Creek Campground is a rustic, no-fee camping area situated along the scenic White River corridor in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The campground sits adjacent to a backcountry airstrip and serves as a gateway to several trail systems, including the popular Skookum Flats Trail 1194. The facility is roughly divided into two distinct areas. The eastern section is more developed with a denser concentration of campsites and vault toilet facilities, while the western portion offers fewer, more dispersed camping spots for those seeking additional solitude. The historic Buck Creek Horse Camp connects to the main camping area. This is a primitive, unstaffed campground operating on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available through Recreation.gov. While camping itself is free, a $5 per vehicle day-use pass is required due to the campground's proximity to several fee trailheads. Campers should bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on site.
