About
Rainbow Springs State Park Campground is situated along the crystal-clear Rainbow River in Dunnellon, Florida, a few miles from the park's main headsprings and day-use area. The campground offers 60 campsites designed to accommodate both RV campers and tent campers. All RV sites feature full hookups with water, electric service at 20, 30, and 50 amps, and sewer connections, with a maximum RV length of 103 feet. Tent-only sites are hike-in and offer water and 110-volt electric service, requiring campers to carry gear a short distance from designated parking areas. The sites feature gravel surfaces requiring heavy-duty stakes. The campground provides modern amenities including ADA-accessible restrooms, hot showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, and a camp store that offers canoe and kayak rentals. Direct river access from the campground allows registered campers to fish, swim, paddle, and tube using their own equipment. The campground is gated at all times, and guests must call during office hours (11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily) at 352-465-8550 to obtain access codes, which are provided only on the day of arrival. Pets are welcome in the campground on a 6-foot leash but are not permitted in swimming areas or buildings. Rainbow Springs is Florida's fourth-largest spring and feeds the stunning Rainbow River, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and abundant wildlife viewing opportunities.
