Apex Pavilion is a day-use pavilion rental located at the Apex Trailhead in Goethe State Forest, Levy County, Florida. Situated adjacent to the state forest office, the pavilion occupies an open sandhill that provides scenic overlooks of the surrounding pine flatwoods forest. A series of multi-use looped trails extend from this location, making it a popular starting point for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians exploring the forest. The facility is designed for group gatherings and organized events, accommodating up to 30 people. Amenities include two grills, picnic tables, restrooms, and ample parking. Leashed pets are welcome. Reservations are mandatory and can be made through Florida State Forests ReserveAmerica up to 11 months in advance. This is exclusively a day-use facility. Overnight camping is not permitted at Apex Pavilion. Campers seeking overnight accommodations in Goethe State Forest should consider other designated camping areas such as the Black Prong Primitive Campsites.
