About

Charlestown Breachway Campground sits on the east side of the breachway channel that connects Ninigret Pond to Block Island Sound. The 75 back-in RV sites range from 30 to 38 feet and offer unobstructed ocean views. A boat launch with limited parking provides direct access to both the pond and the Atlantic, making this a popular destination for saltwater fishing. This is a primitive campground designed for self-contained RVs only. All units must have manufacturer-installed permanent holding tanks for potable water, grey water, and black water. No hookups, dump stations, or water filling stations exist on-site. Registered campers receive one complimentary dump and water fill-up at nearby Burlingame or Fishermen's Memorial campgrounds. Composting toilets and dumpsters are the only facilities provided. Pets, tent camping, and pop-up/hybrid campers are prohibited. Open wood or charcoal fires are not allowed due to the sensitive coastal environment, though propane camp stoves with regulators are permitted. The adjacent state beach is within walking distance for swimming, sunbathing, and beachcombing.
