About
Lackawanna State Park encompasses 1,445 acres in northeastern Pennsylvania's Lackawanna County, centered around a scenic 198-acre lake. The campground sits within the forested terrain and provides direct access to swimming, boating, and fishing at the lake. Sites range from walk-in tent camping to full-hookup RV sites with water and sewer connections. The park offers diverse recreational opportunities including hiking and mountain biking trails, horseback riding, and winter activities like ice skating and cross-country skiing. A swimming pool, boat rentals, environmental learning center, and amphitheater round out the amenities. The campground's location provides a convenient base for exploring the greater Scranton area while enjoying Pennsylvania's natural landscape. Site amenities include modern shower houses with flush toilets and warm showers, fire rings, grills, and picnic tables. Some sites accommodate larger RVs with 50-amp electric service. Three camping cottages and two yurts offer alternatives for those seeking more shelter.

From I-81, take Exit 199 and travel three miles west on PA 524. From US Routes 6 and 11, take PA 107 east about three miles to PA 407, then head south.
