Chenango Valley State Park

Chenango Valley State Park campground sits in a forested setting along the Chenango River in Broome County, about 13 miles north of Binghamton. The 184 campsites are distributed across several loops: Chipmunk 1-4 (tent-focused), Pine Bluff (some with 50-amp electric), and Sunrise. Sites accommodate RVs and trailers ranging from 20 to 50 feet in back-in configurations. The 24 cabins are clustered in two groups with varying seasonal availability. The park centers on Lily Lake, which offers a sandy beach for swimming and rentals for canoes, kayaks, and rowboats (no trailers or motorized boats). Modern facilities include hot showers, flush restrooms with ADA-accessible units, a dump station, and water fill-up stations (though individual sites lack water hookups). Concessions and a restaurant are available during peak season. Beyond camping, the park features an 18-hole championship golf course with pro shop, interpretive nature programs, fishing access, playgrounds, and miles of hiking and biking trails. Bear activity requires proper food storage. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM.

From Binghamton, take NY Route 369 north approximately 13 miles to the main park entrance. GPS may incorrectly route to the closed Rogers Road entrance; use the NY Route 369 entrance only.
