Open for the 2026 season. Campsites operate May 15 through October 11 for most loops; Chipmunk 4, Pine Bluff, and Sunrise loops close September 6. Cabins 1-19 are open May 15 to October 11; Cabins 21-25 close August 31. Reservations via ReserveAmerica up to 9 months in advance; same-day reservations accepted until 3 PM. Maximum 14 consecutive nights per stay.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central New York, including the following areas, Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego and Sullivan and northeast Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Northern Wayne, Pike, Southern Wayne, Susquehanna and Wyoming. * WHEN...Through Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and storms will continue to move over the area through Wednesday. Rainfall rates could exceed 1-2 inches per hour with the heaviest downpours. Even though this area has been somewhat dry recently, multiple rounds of heavy downpours could cause urban flash flooding and/or small streams and creeks to flow out of their banks. Chenango Valley State Park campground sits in a forested setting along the Chenango River in Broome County, about 13 miles north of Binghamton. The 184 campsites are distributed across several loops: Chipmunk 1-4 (tent-focused), Pine Bluff (some with 50-amp electric), and Sunrise. Sites accommodate RVs and trailers ranging from 20 to 50 feet in back-in configurations. The 24 cabins are clustered in two groups with varying seasonal availability. The park centers on Lily Lake, which offers a sandy beach for swimming and rentals for canoes, kayaks, and rowboats (no trailers or motorized boats). Modern facilities include hot showers, flush restrooms with ADA-accessible units, a dump station, and water fill-up stations (though individual sites lack water hookups). Concessions and a restaurant are available during peak season. Beyond camping, the park features an 18-hole championship golf course with pro shop, interpretive nature programs, fishing access, playgrounds, and miles of hiking and biking trails. Bear activity requires proper food storage. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM.
Directions
From Binghamton, take NY Route 369 north approximately 13 miles to the main park entrance. GPS may incorrectly route to the closed Rogers Road entrance; use the NY Route 369 entrance only.
