Dunn State Park offers a blend of natural beauty and accessibility in Gardner, Massachusetts. The campground surrounds a scenic 20-acre pond and provides a wooded retreat within reach of urban amenities. The park is designed with universal accessibility in mind, featuring barrier-free buildings and an accessible nature trail with pond overlooks. Recreational opportunities include swimming at the beach, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, hiking on the trail system, and seasonal cross-country skiing. Two small playgrounds and outdoor exercise equipment are spread throughout the park. The park includes a lodge with a fireplace, public restrooms, and a boat ramp for non-motorized watercraft. The campground operates on an advance reservation system through ReserveAmerica with same-day reservations accepted until 2:00 p.m. on the date of arrival. Walk-in registrations are not permitted. The park's location at 289 Pearl Street in Gardner makes it convenient for visitors exploring north-central Massachusetts.

Directions

From the East/Northeast/Southeast, take I-495 to exit 29, then Rt. 2 west to exit 24. Merge onto Rt. 140 north, drive 2.7 miles, then turn left onto Rt. 101 west (Pearl St.) and continue for 1 mile to the park entrance on the left.
