About

Located on the southern tip of Georgia's Colonial Coast just a few miles from I-95, Crooked River State Park provides a convenient base for exploring the maritime forests and tidal marshes of Camden County. The 63-site campground accommodates tents, trailers, and RVs with electric and water hookups at each site. Campers enjoy fire rings, picnic tables, grills, hot showers, flush toilets, coin laundry, and a dump station. The park's boat ramp and dock offer direct access to the Crooked River and Intracoastal Waterway, making it popular with kayakers and anglers. North Star Bait & Tackle Shop provides gear and local knowledge on-site. A nature center hosts programs and exhibits about the coastal ecosystem, and several trails wind through the maritime forest. The historic ruins of the McIntosh Sugar Works are accessible via a short hike. Eleven cottages are available for those seeking more amenities, and a pioneer campground serves organized groups. The park operates year-round with gates open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
