About
Point Cedar Campground is located on the banks of DeGray Lake in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains in western Arkansas. The campground provides 62 campsites, with sites 1-42 offering modern amenities including electric hookups and water access, while sites 43-62 are primitive non-electric sites. The facility includes flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, and a boat ramp for easy lake access.
DeGray Lake is one of the region's five Diamond Lakes, renowned for crystal clear waters spanning 13,500 surface acres. The lake flows from the Caddo River and is heavily stocked with game fish, particularly hybrid striped bass, making it a premier destination for both boat and bank fishing. Boating, water skiing, kayaking, and other water sports are popular activities on the lake.
The campground is heavily treed, providing ample shade during warmer months. Nearby attractions include DeGray Lake Resort State Park with golf courses, tennis courts, and horseback riding trails along 207 miles of shoreline. The Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park are also within driving distance. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov with a 14-day stay limit per 30-day period without special permission.
