About
Point Cedar Campground occupies a scenic position on the northwest shore of DeGray Lake in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. The 13,500-acre lake, fed by the Caddo River, is one of the region's five Diamond Lakes prized for their exceptionally clear waters. The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and offers 62 sites ranging from full-hookup to primitive.
Sites 1-42 are modern campsites equipped with electric hookups and water, while sites 43-62 are primitive nonelectric sites. Sites 29-31 are designated tent-only electric sites. The campground provides flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, and a dump station for RV waste disposal.
Water recreation dominates here. A boat ramp provides direct lake access for boating, water skiing, kayaking, and fishing. The lake is well-stocked with hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. DeGray Lake Resort State Park nearby offers additional amenities including an 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, and horseback riding trails. Hot Springs National Park and the Ouachita National Forest are both within easy driving distance.
