About

Oak Bower Group Use Area is a distinctive U.S. Army Corps of Engineers group camping facility situated along the Bill Hill Creek arm of DeGray Lake in western Arkansas. This quality group use facility is specifically designed for large gatherings and offers seven sleeping cabins, a spacious dining hall with a full kitchen, shower houses, and playground equipment. DeGray Lake, one of the region's five Diamond Lakes known for crystal clear waters, flows from the Caddo River and spans 13,500 surface acres. The lake provides excellent opportunities for boating, water skiing, kayaking, and other water sports. Anglers enjoy the lake's stocked game fish, including abundant hybrid striped bass, with both boat and bank fishing available. Hiking and bike riding trails wind around the lake shore, including the nearby Arlie Moore Interpretive Trail. The facility's location near DeGray Lake Resort State Park provides additional recreation options including golf courses, tennis courts, and horseback riding trails along 207 miles of shoreline. Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs National Park are both located nearby. Oak Bower is an ideal venue for family reunions, corporate retreats, and other large group events.

Directions

From Interstate 30, take exit 78 and merge onto State Highway 7 north for 9 miles. Turn left onto Arlie Moore Road for 1.1 miles. Turn right onto Chestnut Dr for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto Oak Bower Rd and follow into Group Use Area.
