Poe Valley State Park is a 620-acre park tucked away in a mountain valley within the vast 198,000-acre Bald Eagle State Forest in central Pennsylvania. The peaceful wooded campground features 45 campsites suitable for tents, trailers, and motor homes, with 27 sites offering 50-amp electric hookups. All sites are located within walking distance of park facilities including flush restrooms, hot showers, drinking water, and a sanitary dump station. The park offers several lodging options beyond traditional camping. Three camping cottages and one deluxe cottage are available, each equipped with electric heat, lighting, and sleeping accommodations for five people. The deluxe cottage includes a kitchen with stove, microwave, and refrigerator. ADA accessible accommodations are available throughout the campground. The park centers around a scenic 25-acre lake popular for fishing and relaxation. Surrounded by dense forest, the park provides access to trails that connect to the larger Bald Eagle State Forest trail system. Access to the park requires traveling approximately ten miles on marked state forest gravel roads from US Route 322, offering a remote and secluded camping experience.

Directions

From Potters Mills, go east on US 322 for 1.5 miles to near the top of the Seven Mountains Scenic Area, then follow marked state forest roads for ten miles to Poe Valley.
