Greenwood Furnace State Park sits along PA Route 305 in Huntingdon County, about 5 miles west of Belleville and 20 miles from State College. The 423-acre park encompasses a 6-acre lake, extensive trail system, and a well-preserved 19th-century iron furnace community. The campground operates from mid-April through mid-November with 51 sites spread across three loops: Lower Road, Middle Road, and Upper Road. Forty-four sites offer 30-amp electric service, with select sites providing 50-amp connections. The remaining sites are non-electric, including two walk-in tent sites. All sites feature fire rings and picnic tables with back-in driveways accommodating trailers and RVs up to 40 feet on larger sites. The shower house provides flush toilets, hot showers, and dishwashing sinks. A dump station is located at the campground entrance. Beyond camping, the park offers swimming at the lake beach, fishing for stocked trout and warm-water species, and hiking trails that connect to the surrounding Rothrock State Forest. The historic district includes the original furnace stack, ironmaster's mansion, and an operational blacksmith shop. An EV charging station is available near the visitor center.
