About

Patrick Creek Dispersed Site 4 is located in Flathead National Forest in northwestern Montana. As a dispersed camping area, this site offers primitive camping without the amenities found at developed campgrounds. Dispersed camping is free throughout Flathead National Forest and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. This site provides an opportunity to experience camping in a natural forest setting along Patrick Creek. Campers should be prepared to be fully self-sufficient, bringing all necessary supplies including water, and packing out all trash. The maximum stay limit for most dispersed sites in Flathead National Forest is 16 days, though some popular sites near water may have shorter posted limits. Bear safety is essential in this area, as the forest has an active grizzly bear population, and food storage orders are in effect to minimize human-bear conflicts.

Directions

From Kalispell, head southwest on Foys Canyon Road and take the turn towards Patrick Creek Road.
