About

Paris Springs Campground sits in scenic Paris Canyon within the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, approximately five miles from Paris, Idaho. At 6,600 feet elevation, the campground provides a quiet retreat for Bear Lake visitors seeking a more secluded setting. A mixed conifer and aspen forest blankets the area, offering plentiful shade and summer wildflowers throughout the sites. Paris Creek runs alongside the campground after bubbling up from Paris Spring, which can be reached via a 300-yard trail from the campground. Fishing and hiking along the creek are popular activities. The nearby Highline Trail, part of the National Trail System, stretches 55 miles along the Bear River Range backbone and welcomes hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers, and OHV enthusiasts. Paris Ice Cave, featuring year-round ice formations, offers self-guided tours not far from camp. Bear Lake State Park is about 20 miles away with boating, swimming, and fishing opportunities.
