Osbornedale Picnic Shelter is a day-use facility within the 350-acre Osbornedale State Park, located in the Naugatuck Valley Hills just east of the Housatonic River in Derby and Ansonia, Connecticut. The shelter is designed for group picnics and gatherings, not overnight camping. The park itself does not offer any overnight camping facilities. The picnic shelter includes restrooms, grills, picnic tables, and potable water. It can accommodate up to 75 people and is ADA accessible. Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance. Amplified music, bounce houses, and alcohol are prohibited. Pets must be leashed. Osbornedale State Park features the Kellogg Environmental Center, the Osborne Homestead Museum, hiking trails, pond fishing, and winter ice skating. Park hours are 8 a.m. to sunset daily with free admission. Heavy weekend use may cause gate closures when capacity is reached.
