Kettletown State Park
Closed for the 2026 season due to flood damage from August 2024. The campground and surrounding trails including Pomeraug, Crest, and Brook Trails remain closed. A reopening date has not been announced.

About
Kettletown State Park campground occupies a scenic location along Lake Zoar in the Naugatuck Valley of southwestern Connecticut. The campground offers 55 standard tent and RV sites plus 6 rustic cabins, accommodating various camping styles. Sites are distributed across partially wooded and open areas, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The maximum RV or trailer length is 28 feet. Facilities include modern bathhouses with showers, flush toilets, drinking water, and a free dump station for registered campers. The park provides access to freshwater fishing, boating, bird watching, and a network of hiking trails. Youth group camping is available with advance reservations for groups up to 60 campers. Alcohol is prohibited throughout the park, and pets are not permitted in the campground area. Swimming is not available. Check-in is at 1:00 PM with checkout at noon. Reservations are accepted up to 11 months in advance through Reserve America.

Off Interstate 84: Take Exit 15. Go south onto CT Route 67. Take a right at the first traffic light onto Kettletown Road. Continue for approximately 3 miles on Kettletown Road. Take a right onto George's Hill Road. The park is located on the left, approximately 0.6 miles down.
