About
North Fork Campground is a small, established campground in the Stonyford Recreation Area of Mendocino National Forest, featuring 10 first-come, first-served sites in an open grove of oak trees adjacent to a year-round stream. At 1,700 feet elevation, the campground accommodates trailers up to 30 feet and is especially popular with off-highway vehicle users who access the extensive OHV trail system in the area. The campground attracts anglers drawn to river and stream fishing, which is particularly productive in winter and early spring when water flows are highest. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, and vault toilets are provided, though campers must bring their own water as none is available on-site. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility with no garbage collection. Located 10 miles west of Stonyford on Forest Road 18N03, North Fork Campground offers a rustic camping experience in a scenic foothill setting. Payment is $5 per night and can be made on-site via cash, check, or the Recreation.gov mobile app using the Scan & Pay feature at the campground kiosk. Interagency Senior/Access passes provide a 50% discount.
