Developed campground stay limits

Trail 34 on Upper Lake District closed due to unsafe conditions
OHV Trail 34 is closed due to trail tread degradation and rutting that runs 300 feet down the trail. The trail is unsafe due to unstable soil, extremely muddy conditions and increased runoff.

About
Fouts Campground is a first-come, first-served facility located in the Mendocino National Forest's Stonyford Recreation Area, about 9 miles west of Stonyford on Forest Road 18N03 (M10). The campground features 11 sites equipped with picnic tables and fire rings with grills, situated adjacent to a stream in an area of chaparral, shrubs, and gray pine trees. The campground serves as a popular base for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts, with the Forest Service having developed extensive roads, trails, and facilities in cooperation with the State of California Off-Highway Vehicle Fund. The Bathhouse Trailhead is located less than a mile away, providing access to Deafy Glade trail, Dixie Glade Equestrian Campground, Summit Springs trail, and the Snow Mountain Wilderness. At $5 per night, Fouts offers affordable camping with vault toilets and Scan & Pay capability through the Recreation.gov mobile app. Two vehicles are allowed per site, and the campground can accommodate trailers up to 50 feet. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m., check-out at 11:00 a.m., with quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Campers should note that potable water is not currently available and must bring their own supply.

Located about 9 miles west of Stonyford on Forest Road 18N03 (M10). From Stonyford, head west on Road M10. The campground is accessible via dirt forest road; a lightweight 4WD vehicle is currently recommended due to slide repairs.
