About

Mill Creek Campground is a small roadside campground in Mendocino National Forest's Stonyford Recreation Area, offering 6 campsites along Mill Creek. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground is particularly popular with OHV enthusiasts, providing direct access to the Grindstone OHV trail system and proximity to the Nail Track OHV Play Area. River and stream fishing is popular in winter and early spring when Mill Creek is in full flow. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Payment can be made on-site via the convenient Scan & Pay system using the Recreation.gov mobile app by scanning the QR code at the campground kiosk, or by cash or check. Sites are $10 per night, with a 50% discount available for Interagency Senior or Access pass holders. The surrounding area features chaparral vegetation. Mill Creek flows through the campground and is best experienced in winter and early spring. OHV users should note that all vehicles must be registered with a current Green or Red Sticker or Highway License, equipped with a Forest Service approved spark arrester, and motorcycles/ATVs must meet the state sound requirement of 96 dba or lower.
