About

North Fork Campground is nestled in a scenic aspen forest along the Big Wood River, roughly 8 miles north of Ketchum within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. At 6,300 feet elevation, the campground offers 28 sites including 3 double-family sites, with 26 available for advance reservation through Recreation.gov and the remainder first-come, first-served. The campground serves as the gateway to the 18.6-mile Harriman Trail, a popular route for hiking and mountain biking that connects to numerous spur trails leading to alpine lakes, deep canyons, and high-country fishing. The Big Wood River provides excellent fly-fishing opportunities for rainbow, brown, and brook trout, and float tubing is a common activity during warmer months. The Sawtooth NRA Visitor Center is located just half a mile away, offering a small museum, bookstore, area information, and an RV dump station with potable water fill. Easley Hot Springs, featuring a swimming pool and hot tubs, is 6 miles to the north.
