About

Easley Campground is a scenic riverside campground in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, situated along the Big Wood River at an elevation of 6,800 feet. A forest of Douglas fir, ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, and aspen provides shade throughout the campground, with colorful wildflowers abundant in summer and willows lining the riverbanks. The campground offers 10 sites including 8 single-family sites and 2 double sites, operating on a first-come, first-served basis with reservations also available through Recreation.gov. Fly-fishing for rainbow, brown, and brook trout is popular on the Big Wood River, and the 18-mile Harriman Trail passes directly through the campground for excellent hiking and biking. Easley Hot Springs is located less than a quarter mile past the campground entrance, offering a swimming pool, hot tubs, and showers for a small fee. The Sawtooth National Recreation Area Visitor Center is 6.5 miles away with a museum, bookstore, and dump station. Sun Valley Resort is 11 miles away.
