About

Park Creek Campground offers a peaceful camping experience in the remote backcountry of Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest. Located 26 miles up Trail Creek Road from US Highway 93, this small 12-site campground sits in a pleasant wooded setting that provides shade and privacy for campers seeking solitude away from more developed areas. The campground provides basic amenities including a vault toilet and a hand pump that delivers potable water during the summer season. Sites are available first-come, first-served at $10 per night. The area is well-suited for those looking to explore the surrounding landscape, with Summit Creek Trail nearby and access to Big and Little Fall Creek for fishing and hiking. The campground's location along Trail Creek Road makes it an excellent stopover for travelers between Mackay and Sun Valley/Ketchum. The road connects Highway 93 to the Sun Valley area, offering scenic mountain driving through the rugged terrain of central Idaho.

Directions

From Mackay, take US Highway 93 approximately 16 miles north to Trail Creek Road. Turn left onto Trail Creek Road (#208) and follow it 26 miles; the campground will be on the right. Alternatively, from Sun Valley/Ketchum, take Highway 75 to Sun Valley Road, which becomes Trail Creek Road (#208). Follow this road 26 miles; the campground will be on the left.
