About

Park Creek Campground is a small, rustic campground with 12 sites nestled in a wooded setting in the Lost River region of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Located along Trail Creek Road approximately 26 miles from either Mackay or Sun Valley/Ketchum, this campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding backcountry. The campground operates seasonally and provides basic amenities including vault toilets. Campers should plan to bring their own water as potable water is not available on-site. Each site costs $10 per night on a first-come, first-served basis, with holders of Interagency Senior or Access passes receiving a 50% discount. Nearby recreational opportunities include the Summit Creek Trail, Big and Little Fall Creek, and proximity to the Sun Valley/Ketchum area. The remote location offers a quiet camping experience in the mountains with access to hiking, fishing, OHV riding, and scenic drives. The campground is accessed via Trail Creek Road (FR 208), and open/close dates are approximate based on road and weather conditions.
