About

North Fork Bear Group Camp is one of three group sites within the North Fork Campground in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Shaded by a dense canopy of pine, fir, and cedar trees, the site sits alongside the Cispus River and offers a secluded camping experience with gated access. The campground is strategically located between Mount St. Helens, Mount Adams, and Mount Rainier. The group site accommodates up to 35 people with parking for 8 cars or 6 RVs, though vehicles are limited to 22 feet maximum length. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water, picnic tables, and grills. An on-site host sells firewood bundles. Campers should store food in bear-proof containers. Recreational opportunities abound in the area. The nearby Valley Trail provides access to over 50 miles of multi-use trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and off-road vehicle riders. The North Fork Loop Trail offers hiking-only access. Anglers can fish the Cispus River for brook trout, steelhead, and salmon.
