Located along the edge of North Creek in the Jefferson National Forest near Arcadia, Virginia, North Creek Campground provides a relaxed, streamside camping experience. The campground features shady campsites where visitors can listen to the creek gurgling past while enjoying a peaceful forest setting. North Creek is stocked with trout, offering fishing opportunities right at your campsite door. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the surrounding Jefferson National Forest, with nearby trails including Whitetail, Cornelius Creek, and Apple Orchard Falls. A large expanse of National Forest land surrounds the area for hiking and hunting. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis only with no advance reservations accepted. Sites include picnic tables and fire pits, with vault toilets and potable water available throughout the season (water may not be available when temperatures are near or below freezing). North Creek Campground is accessible from I-81 via exit 168 (Arcadia), following VA Route 614 through Arcadia to Forest Service Road 59. The campground is located 2.4 miles up North Creek Road. Campground hosts are available during the season to assist visitors. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Directions

From I-81: Take exit 168 (Arcadia). Follow VA 614 (Jennings Creek Road) for 2.9 miles through Arcadia to FS 59 (North Creek Road). Turn left on FS 59. The campground is 2.4 miles ahead on your right.
