About

Corbin's Island Picnic Shelter is a day-use group facility located at the northern end of Raystown Lake, just downstream from Raystown Dam. The shelter is situated along the shady banks of the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River, making it an ideal spot for picnicking, fishing, and floating the river. The shelter accommodates up to 80 people and includes approximately 10 picnic tables. A boat ramp within the facility provides access for small fishing boats, kayaks, canoes, and tubes. Vault restrooms are located approximately 75 yards from the shelter, and dumpsters are available in the adjacent parking lot. This is a day-use facility only with no overnight camping permitted. There is no potable water or electricity at the shelter, though generators may be used with ranger permission. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov; when not reserved, the shelter is first-come, first-served.

Directions

From Huntingdon follow Route 22 eastbound and turn right onto Point Road just past the Giant Food Store. Continue on Point Road (staying left) approximately 6.3 miles. The Corbin's Island access will be on your left.
