About

Mistletoe State Park sits on a scenic peninsula along Clarks Hill Lake, the largest U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake east of the Mississippi. The campground offers 93 developed sites with water and electric hookups, gravel pads, picnic tables, and fire rings. Additional options include four walk-in tent sites, three backcountry sites, a pioneer campground, and ten cottages (five are log cabins). Big rigs and pull-through sites are accommodated. Three comfort stations with flush toilets and hot showers serve the camping loops, along with laundry facilities and a dump station. The park features three boat ramps, a fish cleaning station, rental canoes and jon boats, five picnic shelters, a playground, and an amphitheater for naturalist programs. A sandy beach opens seasonally. Clarks Hill Lake draws anglers targeting largemouth bass, crappie, and catfish. Over eight miles of trails wind through hardwood forests and along the lakeshore, suitable for hiking and mountain biking. The peninsula location provides both sunrise and sunset views over open water.
