Open year-round with limited services during off-season. All facilities open by mid-May; beach opens Memorial Day weekend and closes after Labor Day. Blue-green algae is present year-round; avoid drinking lake water and shower after swimming. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights.

About
Mississinewa Lake is a premier Indiana DNR camping destination located southeast of Peru in Miami County. The property encompasses a 3,300-acre reservoir and features one of the largest campgrounds in the Indiana state park system with 451 total sites. Camping options include 316 electric sites, 82 full hookup sites with water and sewer connections, 39 non-electric primitive sites, 8 rent-a-camp cabins, and 2 youth tent areas. The campground provides comprehensive amenities including comfort stations with flush toilets and showers, pit toilets, a dump station, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. Recreation facilities include a playground, basketball court, volleyball, horseshoes, disc golf, amphitheater, hiking trails, and bicycling. A refreshment stand offers ice, firewood, and camping supplies. Water-based recreation is a major draw, with boat ramps, fishing docks, a marina, and opportunities for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, power boating, jet skiing, water skiing, and sailboating. Mississinewa was the first Indiana state property to offer seasonal camping, allowing visitors to retain a site for the entire season.
Directions
Located about nine miles off Highway 31, southeast of Peru, Indiana. Travel time from Fort Wayne or Indianapolis is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes; from South Bend approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
